How does it work?

Dermaplaning is a method of physical exfoliation using a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently shave the skin's surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). This treatment leaves the skin silky smooth due to the hair removal process.

How many sessions will I need?

Dermplaning removes 21 days worth of dead skin cells, so it’s best to allow the skin to complete its rejuvenation cycle before your next treatment. A monthly procedure should work fine.

What are the benefits?

Dermplaning eliminates soft facial hair that traps dirt and oils, it promotes smoother skin, reduces the appearance of acne scars and diminishes the look of fine lines. The skin will be left smooth and naturally radiant!. It is suitable for all ages and for most skin types, but if you have deep cystic acne or sensitive skin, you may want to sit this treatment out. If you have acne, wait until breakouts are clear.

How long does the treatment take?

Depending on which facial you opt for and the growth of hair, the full treatment will take 45 to 90 minutes.

And the question EVERYBODY asks … will my facial hair grow back thicker?

NO! It is physiologically impossible for your vellus hair to grow back thicker. It is important to know that there are two different types of hair on our bodies – vellus hair and terminal hair. Vellus hair is most often located on our face and ear lobes and is translucent or blonde. This type of hair cannot change into terminal hair and will not come back thicker and more visible.
